Zagreb Cohousing FAIL.
We are keeping this website as a memento of nice times..
Co-living / cohousing is a concept of sharing a large space with cool, pre-selected people. Sharing economy makes large real estate affordable. Pre-selection ensures everyone is nice and sticks to the rules.
The Zagreb Cohousing Project has a beautiful house on a hill in the western part of Zagreb.
This is what the residents get:
|Unlimited use of a shared space|
|Kitchen and dining room|
|Large living room (entertainment and coworking space)|
|Gym (with multi-gym, bicycle and bench)|
|Heated winter garden|
|1008m² yard with a summerhouse and a barbeque|
|Small party room in a wine cellar|
|Free weekly services|
|Cooked meal 2 days in a week|
|Free coffee :)|
|Size||20m²||12.6m²||22m² + balcony|
|Private balcony or a private bathroom|
|Monthly price||160 EUR||180 EUR||220 EUR|
|Price of 7-day guest stay for potential residents||FREE||FREE||FREE|
Residents don’t worry about house bills. All utilities (gas heating, water, electricity, Internet, cleaning, alarm, garbage) are included in a fixed fee of 60 EUR per person.
But the main advantage is not the rooms or service, it is the people. We interview at least two people for one open room, and residents vote on the most compatible candidate. We are open and friendly, and want similar people in the house. If accepted, you will get a free 7-day guest stay. If it works out, you can pay a deposit and move in.
Residents need to be between 24 and 44 years old and have a permanent job. Currently we are a bit techie / startup oriented, but don’t worry, we accept people of different backgrounds, male or female.
Owns a small software company, works on a new startup with Mario, organizes Lean Startup meetings, CouchSurfing meetings and this cohousing/co-living space.
Left the corporation in order to work on a programmer testing startup, uses shared house as a coworking space from Mon to Fri. Outside of work hours he loves sports, especially biking down the Sljeme hill.
Igor works as a network engineer for a US company. Privately he loves driving motorbikes, building model aircrafts and electronics projects. Sometimes you can catch him playing with his quadcopter in the backyard.

House rules make life easier for everybody, here are some of them:
Located a bit outside the city, in a green and quiet neighborhood. Surrounded by trees and below the Sljeme hill, the house has a spectacular view of the west part of Zagreb. Perfect if you love nature and outdoors. It is a modern house build in 2005, has gas heating, new furniture and plenty of light. Check the picture gallery below.
