ABOUT

Co-living / cohousing is a concept of sharing a large space with cool, pre-selected people. Sharing economy makes large real estate affordable. Pre-selection ensures everyone is nice and sticks to the rules.

The Zagreb Cohousing Project has a beautiful house on a hill in the western part of Zagreb.

Residents don’t worry about house bills. All utilities (gas heating, water, electricity, Internet, cleaning, alarm, garbage) are included in a fixed fee of 60 EUR per person.

But the main advantage is not the rooms or service, it is the people. We interview at least two people for one open room, and residents vote on the most compatible candidate. We are open and friendly, and want similar people in the house. If accepted, you will get a free 7-day guest stay. If it works out, you can pay a deposit and move in.

PEOPLE

Residents need to be between 24 and 44 years old and have a permanent job. Currently we are a bit techie / startup oriented, but don’t worry, we accept people of different backgrounds, male or female.

RULES

House rules make life easier for everybody, here are some of them:

  • You can invite up to five people on any day, for larger gatherings notify other residents at least three days in advance.
  • When you invite guests, introduce them to other residents, it is nice when everybody knows each other.
  • If you want to party and other resident want to sleep, we have a party room in the basement. It is actually quite nice (brick build wine cellar), feel free to use bluetooth speakers.
  • Don’t leave dirty dishes in the sink, we have a dishwasher for a reason.
